John A. Sargent
John A. Sargent has more than 35 years of real estate, banking and investment experience. He was president and CEO of Randall Hagner Ltd., a full service real estate firm that was established in 1904 and that he sold in 2007. Under Mr. Sargent’s leadership, annual transaction volume grew from $50 million to over $800 million and included commercial and residential brokerage, mortgage banking and property management activities. He was responsible for investment representations of major life insurance companies and investment groups for their real estate holdings. In 1983, Mr. Sargent founded Capital Express Group, Ltd. as a wholly owned investment subsidiary of the Hagner Company and that was not part of the company’s sale. The management of investment property through Capital Express Group, and now 888 Realty Investors, is Mr. Sargent’s full time focus. Capital Express Group sponsored over 40 investments with total equity raised in excess of $100 million representing values over $500 million. Mr. Sargent is a graduate of Boston University and takes an active role in community affairs including currently serving on the Board of the Medstar Washington Hospital Center (former chair), Bloedorn Foundation, formerly served on Boards of Winterthur, Army air Force Trust Bank & (former chair) Decatur House.
Robert V. Fleming II
Robert V. Fleming II has over 35 years of experience in the acquisition, ownership and management of commercial, multi-family and mixed-use properties in the Washington area. His first equity venture was with Randall Hagner/Capital Express Group in 1983. In partnership with Mr. Hoskinson and Mr. Davis since 1983, he has been responsible for financing, budgeting, leasing and overall asset management of investment properties. From 1976 until 1983, Mr. Fleming was an officer of Chemical Bank in New York. He is a Director of Baltimore-based Canusa Corporation, a Trustee of the Maddux Foundation, a member of the Finance Committee of the Washington National Cathedral, and a past Director of Allied Capital Lending Corporation. Mr. Fleming has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Princeton University.
James E. Brawner
James E. Brawner has 20 years of real estate experience, and currently serves as Chairman and CEO of the Brawner Company and 888 17th Street Corporation, which are among the oldest family owned real estate businesses in Washington, D.C. Mr. Brawner serves as a Trustee and fiduciary under multiple trusts with real estate holdings exceeding $50 million, and is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the value of the firm’s existing assets and leading its new acquisition and development activities. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Golden Triangle Business Improvement District in Washington, D.C., Young Professionals Board of the Sibley Memorial Hospital Foundation, and the Board of Trustees of Concord Hill School. Mr. Brawner has a B.S. Degree in Business Administration and minor in Economics from the University of Rhode Island, including post-graduate study in law at Georgetown University.
Pete Morgan
Pete Morgan is the Managing Principal of Morgan Investments, Inc., a privately held real estate investment firm in Washington DC. Since joining the firm in 2018, he has overseen its transformation from a debt-free holding company into a fully integrated investment platform. He is responsible for strategic direction, portfolio management, and capital deployment across the firms medical and industrial assets spanning Florida through the Mid-Atlantic.
Pete has a total of over 10 years work experience having started in capital markets in New York where he gained extensive experience in finance and investment strategy. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Trinity College in 2014 and a Master’s in Real Estate Finance from Georgetown University in 2020.
A native of Washington, D.C., Mr. Morgan is also committed to philanthropic initiatives, with a particular focus on advancing research and support for Parkinson’s disease through organizations such as the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
Robert M. Fleming
Robert M. Fleming joined 888 as a principal in 2025. Prior to his current role as Senior Property Manager with Atlantic Retail Group managing their recent acquisition of a life-sciences office building in Germantown, MD, he was a Senior Property Manager with the national firm, Lincoln Property company, where he managed a portfolio of commercial buildings in the Washington region.
His responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and management of day-to-day property operations. He has over a decade of experience in real estate and previously oversaw the operations of the 3.4 million square foot Hudson Yards development in New York City. Robert has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Providence College (2014).
